I often eat out in the Westchester area and I happened to pass by Runa Jewels during lunch today. ?I just so happened to need a new battery for my watch and saw the sign in front of this establishment. ? ?Note: I normally get my watches repaired and batteries changed at a specialty shop about 3 doors down, but I decided to give this place a try because the shop looked kinda rustic.I walked into the store, and a lady with a wonderful ?Jamaican / South African accent greeted me, “HELLO! ?Thank you for coming in! ?How can I help you?”. ? I was hooked at hello! ?The shop owner, Marie Omoruyi, asked how she could help me. ?I showed her my watch and told her I needed a new battery. ?She said in her cute little voice, “Nooo problem! ?Give me a minute or two!”. ?Before she dissapeared, I asked her how much. ?She said, “$7 because this is a dress watch”. ? ? *POOF* she was gone in the back of the store and in about 3 minutes, she was back make up mirror!I handed Marie a $20 bill and she said, “$5.00 please”. ? I said, ‘WHAT?! ? You said $7.00″. ? She responded with, “I like you (as a customer) and it was an easy job… no problem!”. ?I told her that she needs to make a fair buck and I insisted she take $7 for the new battery. ? I made a new friend! ?:)Runa Jewels has been around for the last 10+ years. ?Marie sells all kinds of stuff – earrings silver bead caps, watches hair accessories for women, bracelets, specialty beads, eyeglass holders, etc. ? She is a very down to earth lady with a HUGE heart! ? I explained to her that I normally go a few stores down to get my watches taken care of. ?Now, I have a new go-to place! Thanks, Marie!

I have two handbags from Lola and I love them both and always get compliments. ?The amazing thing about this store is the merchandise which is carefully chosen from all over the world, including local designers. ?Everything is beautiful cabochon stones, artistic and unique. ?She really focuses on accessories and lingerie. ?The handbags are wonderful, the jewelry is eclectic and beautiful, the lingerie is divine, the shoes are gorgeous and sexy and I am definitely going back for swim wear before my next vacation. ?I also found a great gift for one of my friends who is impossible to buy for because she has everything. ?Lola helped me select the perfect gift and my friend was ecstatic. ?Definitely not cheap but the owner did mention that she was starting to carry more economical items. ?Can’t wait to see what she chooses. If you enjoy unusual and beautiful items check out the store.
I’m very surprised that no one has reviewed this place yet. We were at a gallery opening nearby and this store was still open so we were coaxed inside by the owner and some friends of her’s she was entertaining. There are handbags and shoes on top of the lingerie and clothing this place sells. However I was lured to the hangers displaying shawls with intricate designs.OK jewelry findings supplies, I mean the store has some really nice things, but once you take a look at the price tag it’ll send shivers down your spine. I don’t know if it’s the neighborhood or what (hey I am not down here at all so what do I know) but I know I won’t pay almost 300 bucks for cotton shawls (from India no less). Maybe the shi shi fashionista girlies might, but seriously though …. the stuff is really over priced.I still think there are really lovely things in the store, but I’d be hard to part with my cash for any of it. Love the stuff engraved cufflinks, don’t love the price.

my family has been buying watches from Minsky for over twenty years … from guess and gucci to omega fashion jewelry, cartier, and rolex and things in between. best prices in town! i’ve referred many friends to Minsky and they have all been satisfied with their experience.
Minsky is the place to go and buy watches. ?I bought by Rolex DateJust there 5 years ago. ?I shopped around and found that Minsky’s the best by a landslide. ?I saved 1.5k!! ($1,500.00). ?Tourneau was way too overpriced (you do get the extended warranty with them) and you don’t even need the extended warranty. ?If it’s real then you shouldn’t have a problem with it. ?I haven’t had a problem with my Roly to this day. ?In fact I am buying the new DateJust II and guess who is getting it for me? ?You bet; Minsky’s. ?They can get you whatever your heart desires.

After doing my research I started shopping around for a magical piece of carbon. The Lims have great prices and excellent service. They helped me out and I did not feel any pressure unlike my experience at St. Vincent’s. I was able to save some money with the Lim’s and I got exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend The Lim’s.
I wholeheartedly recommend Lim’s.Here I was, all set to go to a major chain store, when a friend referred me to Lim’s, in the heart of the Jewelry District. I know next to nothing about diamonds. Everyone there was super nice to me and my fiancee. They even offered me a bottled water. Because it was hot and I was sweating profusely.I ended up getting a ring that the fiancee adores. I thought I’d pay out the wazoo, ended up paying significantly less. Barring the apocalypse, we’re going back for our wedding bands.Highest recommendation.
Bought my fiance’ her engagement ring and our wedding bands from Lim’s. Seeing the smile on her face was worth going to Lims alone. Not to mention the friendly pressure free service. After having a good experiences with the fullerton store, the choice was easy. Buy from 1 of the 2 Lim’s locations. Service exceeded expectations. Whats also good is I received a GIA certification with my purchase. GIA is one of the best certifications you can get for a diamond. The way it was explained to me was, it will tell you about the quality of the diamond. Jewelry is something I can NOT buy online. I just dont trust the internet / shipping service. I am lucky I live close to Lims fashion jewelry, I hope they are around for a long time.
Located across the street from St. Vincent’s, in another one of the Jewelry District’s many jewelry centers, The Lim’s Jewelry Company is now my go-to place for jewelry. Why? Well, 1) I don’t know much about jewelry, 2) the family running the booth is very nice, and 3) the prices seem reasonable.Months ago, I, along with my then-fianc’s best friend, ventured down there on a mission to find an engagement ring, first searching through St. Vincent’s with no luck, and then walking up Hill Street checking out the other jewelry centers. What’s a little harrowing about the jewelry mart is the sheer number of vendors hocking their wares. You’re threading your way through the gauntlet, passing by booths while checking out what they have to offer, and at the same time, trying not to make eye-contact with the booth owners sitting inside. I’ve always felt it was sort of like walking into the Mos Eisley cantina whenever I went to the jewelry mart. The last thing I wanted was some paunchy, balding man using some weird Middle Eastern Mind Trick on me: “My friend! Your fianc, she like this ring, yeah? I give you bargain. You buy, ah??”No shank you… In fact Cubic zirconia jewelry, one vendor convinced me to leave him deposit to hold a ring, only to return from Lim’s and find out he already spent the money on something!! WTF?? It’s that kind of place, ladies and gents. Don’t be so hasty to part with your cash unless you’re gonna buy FOR SURE!!Now, the nice folks at the Lim’s Jewelry booth got me to part with my money. In addition to being nice, and seemingly trustworthy, I also chose an engagement ring after looking at only TWO rings. This, after telling them my price range and what I had in mind. It felt like serendipity. Now, I don’t know if the listed prices are marked up on purpose, but the lady there gave me a deal. The price seemed reasonable and the ring I chose was really nice. The ring also came with papers assuring the gem’s “pedigree”, or whatever it’s called. Now what I like about Lim’s, other than the fact they’re super-nice, is that they always remember me, and even more impressive, that they remember my wife’s tastes. We’ve gone back and bought our wedding bands there, and also a couple of other things and they’ve always been gracious. Now, whenever we need to get our jewelry cleaned and ring sizes adjusted, we simply park at one of the pay lots on Hill Street, just south of Seventh, and make a beeline for Lim’s, my safe haven in the Jewelry District.
I was referred to Lim’s by a coworker and ever since I went to them for an engagement ring, they’re my go-to jewelers. ?They provide quality products and service at reasonable prices. ?I’ve shopped around and found that Lim’s gives you the most (and best) for your money. ?They have something for every budget. ?They don’t pressure you into buying something and are very accommodating of your requests. ?The owners are very friendly and they’ve been around since 1982. ?Go to Lim’s. ?You’ll be glad you did.
The Lim’s are super-nice and helpful. ?I bought my wedding bands here and the prices are great. ?High quality and low price. ?What more could you ask for?! ?As happens with my type of ring (eternity band with small diamonds all the way around), a stone fell out. ?They fixed it for free and told me I could always bring it back if that ever happens. ?Don’t go anywhere else!
I went to Lims last year to buy ?an engament ring for my girlfriend. I was recommended there by a friend. I really don’t know much about diamonds so before visiting there I tried to get informed online. I found out about IGA, diamond cuts, clarity, colors etc. So I felt a bit more confident when I got there. ? The Lims showed me lot’s of diamonds and settings and also let me take my time and explained a great deal about each diamond I was looking at. They explained how different cuts reflect light and that one of the biggest factors in a good diamond is the cut. I finally decided on a 1carat round cut. It took less then 20mins to get my diamond set and meanwhile I enjoyed a great conversation with the Lims they are really really very nice people. I got my ring along with an EGL certificate that valued it at over “double” the price I paid for it. I also received a lovely gift bag and was informed that I could always come back if I ever decided to upgrade to a larger size and I would get the “full credit” I paid for my ring. ? I am definately a return customer. ? On a recent trip to the mall with my fiance I stopped by the Kays jeweler and found out that they don’t give you any kind of certification on your diamond. Also at Kays they offered me $3200 over what I paid for to buy my fiance’s ring and buy one from them. “No Thanks”

Vic is the man!Vic made the blue aquamarine ring in his photos for my wife about two years ago as something blue for our wedding. I was going insane looking at crap rings for way too much at the local jewelers. He made her engagement ring and our wedding bands. Once again saving my sanity and my wallet from being severely raped. I don’t think we would of gotten half the service or quality had we gone elsewhere. Not to mention Vic has unbeatable pricing. The only bad thing is that we now she always wants to stop by when in downtown LA. ? Oh and Vic will overnight ship to your work or anywhere else and is easy to get a hold of.
I went to Vic to get the engagement ring for my now wife. ?Not only were his prices very competitive, he was very helpful in explaining all the details about different attributes of a diamond. ?Because it was a custom designed setting that I wanted, I was a bit nervous about the end result, but I couldn’t have been happier with the ring when it was finished. ?Absolutely beautiful. ?My wife loves her ring and gets compliments on it all the time. ?We went back to Vic to get our wedding bands made as well and came out just as great. ?Would highly recommend them for all your jewelry needs!!!
My sister in law is fighting a very rare cancer in her head. It was first discovered in 2006 when she was 5 months pregnant with her first child. Treatment included some experimental chemo and the massive amounts of radiation that ultimately cost her her left eye and hearing in her left ear, and essentially knocked the life out of her for about 12 months. In 2008 she got a little bit better wholesale Silver Jewelry, and became very active in some cancer support groups. As you know, every illness has a ribbon and a color these days Cubic zirconia jewelry, and every kind of cancer has its own special color/ribbon as well. She made a lot of friends fighting various forms of cancer, so to show her support for them all, she bought one of these multi-colored bracelets, made of plastic beads. It was like $20, but it meant a lot to her to show support for all kinds of cancer with one bracelet. Well, a last year she went in for a quarterly MRI, and not only did they find a metastatic site in a different part of her head, but when she came out of the MRI CZ Jewelry, her mother in law had “lost” her bracelet. She was actually more upset about the bracelet than the recurrence. My MIL had investigated getting a real bracelet of the various gemstones made up at a local jeweler in FL, but they found the cost too prohibitive. I contacted Vick Baronian and he put together this one for a very reasonable price.http://idisk.mac.com/j…He even put the ribbon between the garnet and the ivory, the colors which represent head and neck cancers. She was so down that she was on the verge of stopping all treatment. She really was about to give up. But, she was so overwhelmed at the bracelet, such a simple thing, that she has renewed her fight last year and went for additional chemo and radiation and knocked out the secondary tumor. So, thanks to the Baronians for making a fine bracelet, exactly as requested, at a reasonable price and well timed to lift one woman’s spirits.
Father and son, Sarkis and Vicken are very helpful to customers and knowledgeable about jewelry. They custom design and sell wonderful pieces, and have something for everyone. They are always very friendly and I would highly recommend visiting Baronian Jewelry!

This place is a fantastic find! They have so many unique objects in there. The furniture I have gotten from there has given my apartment so much character. The owners are always kind and they do not follow you around like a lot of other tiny shops do… if you have a question they let you come to them, they are willing to answer.. but they let you do your thing.Prices do range from a lovely $30 dollar side table to a $200 stool… so if you see one tag that is expensive do not get scared off… keep looking around. If you just moved in somewhere, need to do some redecorating, or have someone you need to get a gift for that has unique classy taste… mush is the place to go!
While I no longer live on the East Side I still find reasons to get out this way and make it to this shop. It’s the perfect one stop shop for the holidays and I always find unique gifts for fam & friends. I always get that “wow cool!” experience when I shop here. Oh and the owner rocks! She’s really helpful w out being “salesy”. You can tell she passionate about her merchandise. I haven’t found any place comparable here in the south bay, but even if I did I’d probably still make a point to give my business to MUSH =)
Oh Mush, how I love you. ?You make me look like someone with amazing taste. ?Without fail, the first things guests notice in my home are from MUSH. ?Quality quirky items with a classy spin. ?The vintage items are to die for….and the jewelry…are you kidding me? ?I’m not going to tell her she is giving it away for those prices! ?But my favorite item of all time…the fingerless flannel lined gloves for $24 bucks. ?I’m addicted! ?Seriously MUSH…you upped my KLOUT score. ?Thank you Sterling Silver Pendants!
I love this place! There are so many treasures to be found here.If you are looking for that special gift for yourself or that special person, Mush has it here. Original art, mid century furniture, custom jewelry, hand woven purses from Peru, antiques, hand made leather belts, ….. the list goes on. I love the taste, atmosphere and energy Michelle created in her peaceful shop. I love stopping in to see what has been added.
This place is absolutely adorable! The place is ?merchandised beautifully and I love how she offers both new and vintage items. There’s a lot of art for sale, too. Right now she has these amazing pendant lamps that you just have to see–mosaic with bright colors. They caught my eye when I was driving by and that’s what made me want to go in. I really want one, but there not in my budget. Maybe some day!!! (not everything is expensive, but these lamps are handmade by an artist)
while I found several items that I would’ve bought. ?The sale person was more interested in talking to his buddies than getting money out of my pocket.
This pocket of oxigen on Hollywood Blvd. deserves all my compliments: from the unusual selection of gifts (you can always find the perfect one for any occasions), jewelry, furniture and art for all the budgets, to the warmth of the owners and ambiance.Thank you for being part of our lives and neighborhood.
A few months ago I discovered that “mush” represents the actor/artist David Dayan Fisher, so I e-mailed them to see if I could see his paintings while I was visiting in Los Angeles; I was seriously interested in a couple of his pieces. ?Emmanuel responded to my e-mail immediately, and told me they would be happy to show me his work. Two days before I left Arizona for California I called to confirm that I’d be there. ?Michelle, the shop’s owner answered the phone. ?She was warm and friendly, and talked to me as if we were old friends.Unfortunately, she was going to be out of town the day I was coming in to the shop, but she told me I would be in the most capable hands of Emmanuel. ?My oh my, she wasn’t kidding! When I arrived at the shop he was there with a big beautiful smile and a hug, too! ?How many shops do you walk into that give you that kind of a reception? ?Emmanuel brought out the paintings I was interested in – and a few others. ?I pretty much knew before going in which painting I was going to buy, so the purchase was just a formality.Besides being able to purchase a piece by the wonderfully talented David Fisher, my visit to “mush” was made even more memorable:As a surprise, Emmanuel presented me with a personally autographed photo by the artist! ?I was thrilled to have it! ?And as if that wasn’t enough, while I was completing the transaction, the artist himself walked in to the shop to meet me!This pre-planned surprise was “icing on the cake”! ?This was Customer Service above and beyond the call…So, if you are ever in the Los Angeles area on Hollywood Blvd., do stop in to “mush”! ?They have lovely home decoration items, paintings by several artists – many pieces large and small that you’ll love. And, of course, there’s Emmanuel and Michelle to serve you.
This is a wonderful neighborhood shop for tasteful gifts.I regret not stopping in sooner. ?The window display makes it look like a furniture and home decor boutique that’s too expensive and designery for my budget. But when I finally came in on Saturday, I was glad to discover a nice collection of tasteful, affordable gifts, art cards, and jewelry. ?I would not call the items cheap, but definitely a good value for how nice they are.Usually, I don’t like to walk into small boutiques because the owners will jump up from their seat and follow you around in desperate need to make a sale in tough economic times. ?In contrast, the owner of mush, Michelle, will engage you and make you feel welcome, but not in that way where you feel pressured or uncomfortable or babysat. I hate to overuse the word “tasteful,” but I think what really sets this place apart is the impeccable sense of style and taste that owner Michelle van der Heijden exhibits when choosing her merchandise.
Such a refreshing store when compared to the mass market home places and the average boutique: ?1) ?The stuff is unique, and always changing (the owner, Michelle has great taste) ?2) ?The stuff is affordable (not your typical haughty boutique). ? A great mix of furniture, accessories both new and old.
What a treasure chest !This store is part museum and part your living room.Although the beautiful objects are reasonably priced -they are of top quality. The owner, Michelle, has impeccable taste. As well, she supports local artists : painters & craftsmen.Whenever I have a special someone I need to purchase a gift for -I head straight to MUSH. ?I also got some beautiful lamps there for my own home ! One of which is a gorgeous teal Buddah – that lights up from the inside – and whenever people come over to my house – they are always moved by it’s beauty and presence. Thanks MUSH – for making our neighborhood more classy and thank you for perpetuating beauty – !!!
The moment you walk into MUSH it’s obvious how special it is. Michelle, the owner, is so sweet and helpful. She has created a warm and inviting boutique which features unique ?items for every budget ?from soaps, candles and books to one of a kind jewelry, art and furniture.
Great little place to stop in and buy gifts or fun things for your pad. ?I liked the jewelry at the store too. ?The woman that owns the place is very helpful and has an eye for great things. ?I know she rents to the industry too. ?It has everything from tea to furniture to home accessories to artwork. ? ?The place is a breath of sunshine and a place like that is needed on this part of town. ?I would rather pay money and get something original than mass produced, wouldn’t you? ?Oh and you can park in back.
a casual, cosmopolitan zen.msh has a refreshing warmth about it that is so unlike an LA boutique that it almost seems kinda displaced, like it just migrated from a euro village. ?i’d driven by a million times in the last year & never noticed until a friend brought me in for one of the store’s cocktail parties. ?i was exhausted that night, so i expected to make a beeline to the bar CZ jewelry, do my best not to purchase (i was on a tight budgie) and make a short, sweet visit. ?all missions failed.the store window is so inviting, i wouldn’t mind just moving into the fish bowl’s living room set. ?the place is an eclectic hearth of interesting pieces that the owner michelle (or msh) somehow fits together like it all just came up in the flowerbed that way. ?asian-inspired lamps, italian-inspired furniture, buddhas, incense, bath treats, jewelry, paintings, books, odd & beautiful vintage tchotchkes. ?lots of pieces by local artists.even if just to walk thru for a little decompression pick-me-up over a hollywood commute rhinestone jewelry, it’s absolutely worth going in. or better, i highly recommend a drive-by during the store’s next happy hour. ?oh, and big plus: ?dogs are always welcome :)
Mush is a fun place to shop at. I’ve bought several amazing rings there at a very good price. The home decor is also great, an eclectic mix of ?objects from different countries. I’ve also bought a lamp and a ladder ?that were the perfect touch for my home. The owner is very sweet which make your experience even more enjoyable.
What an amazing store. I just moved and Michelle the owner was a doll. She was able to help me with artwork, antique furniture, and a great leather couch and chairs that had most people thinking I had hired a decorator. ?She also has unique gifts and a wonderful cheerful disposition. The store is inviting and full of life and is a cross between a gallery, furniture store, and jewelery store. ?She also sells incense and teas, books that are out of print and new books by local authors. ?She has events on occasion and they are great too. ?If you need a gift, furniture, art or you just want to browse in a fun store this is the place.

Jin Hing Co is a family owned business in Chinatown. It’s a little hard to find, tucked away on Bamboo Lane which is more of an alley way than a road. If you turn in where Phoenix Bakery is, just go a little ways and you’ll see it on the left hand side. He’ll also validate your parking in the nearby lot (can’t remember what it’s called). The owner Bob is very helpful and willing to negotiate. If you tell him what sort of things you’re looking for or bring photos, he’ll work with you on finding items that match your wants/needs and keep an eye out for things he might come across and hold them for you. He’s fair with his prices and trust worthy. Most things like gold, silver, etc. go for fair market value, but there is always a little wiggle room especially if you’re purchasing more items. There store is small but carries a variety of items from antiques (snuff bottles, vases, plates), antique stands, jewelry (bracelets Sterling Silver Bracelets, necklaces, rings), jade pieces, gold, silver, coral Body jewelry, ivory, etc. I’ve spent literally an entire week at the store before and thought I’d seen all there was to see, but somehow ended up finding a new treasure each day! Bob can also polish, clean and size your jewelry. He’s someone you can trust with your pieces, and I don’t worry when I leave them with him for a few days. If you’re looking for a jeweler who is honest and not just trying to sell you crap, go to Jin Hing!

Finding a great jeweler is probably at least as hard, or harder, than finding a great fiance (soon to be husband!). ?Luckily for me, I now have both! ?If you’re looking for a jeweler that is honest, dependable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy, go to Gaspar Jewelers. Gaspar was personally recommended to my fiance by one of my really good girl friends. Gaspar helped my fiance create the perfect engagement ring for me. Since then, we’ve gone back for our wedding bands as well as other pieces. There is no doubt that we will be back again! What’s really great about going to Gaspar’s is that you can go in with full confidence knowing that you will not be ripped off, you will not have to compromise on quality, and you can walk out with a custom piece. Not to mention that the service is excellent! ?Gaspar and his father, Jose, really take the time to consult with you and address all of your questions. Whether or not you find the perfect piece in-store, it’s great to know that you can be a part of the creative process in making your purchase.Thank you Gaspar and Jose! I look forward to being back soon!PS – park in Pershing Square for validation.
My husband and I heard about Gaspar from another family member and had my engagement ring custom made through him. He made the whole experience very comfortable and was more than willing to work with us on our price range. We had gone to some other places in the jewelry district and had been feeling like we had been getting unfriendly and condescending customer service, so Gaspar was like a breath of fresh air! He laid out a dozen options of diamonds within our price range of different sizes and quality, and we described the type of band and engraved design we wanted on it. The finished result was beautiful! Exactly what we had hoped for. After three years of wearing it, it still looks perfect, and the diamond is still securely in place (and I am pretty rough on my hands). If you want a warm, intimate, and individualized experience I highly recommend that you come here.
I think my husband and his mom stumbled upon Gaspar Jewelers by accident… but I’m so thankful they did bc he made me the wedding band and engagement ring of my dreams.I love love love Gaspar and his father. ?They know their stuff. If you have something in mind, they can create your ring. If you don’t know, they can make suggestions. ?Either way Stainless Steel Bangles, they have the best attitude and are willing to spend the time to help you. ?I’d rather work with them than the other booths/stores in the jewelry district who are rude and of questionable quality. They did such a great job on our rings… they will be my jewelers for life!
There’s nothing more valuable than a personal recommendation from friends you trust when you’re looking for a new vendor/restaurant/doctor/dominatrix. ?That’s what my wife and I got (not the dominatrix, the recommendation) Sterling Silver Bangles, and it was for Gaspar Jewelers. ?Gaspar had created custom rings for my friends’ wedding and they were totally satisfied with the results. ?After losing my ring in a Mexican riptide Stainless Steel Earrings, I had to replace it. ?But I wanted a custom design. ?Gaspar worked with us creatively on the design, he worked with us within the budget we had alotted, and he was a pleasure to be around.Gaspar created a simpler albeit custom ring for my wife and she was so impressed that she had him do about 30 repairs on some old jewelry. ? When a couple of the pieces needed further adjustments, he stood behind his work.He speaks both English and Spanish, his prices are very competitive, even in some cases cheaper than street vendors. The only thing to be aware of is that if you’ve got a constrained budget, and you’re making a custom piece, it may not happen quickly. ?I was fine with this, particularly because it allowed us to go back and forth with design ideas, and I was able to approve the process at each step. ?At one point Gaspar showed me the wax mold proof of the ring, which was incredibly helpful and I saw how the worksmanship was even better than I had expected.Park in Pershing Square. ?Gaspar Jewelers validates with purchase.Pros: ?friendly, inexpensive, high-quality work, works within your budgetCons: [not really a con, but more common sense:] if you’re asking for cheap price on custom design, might take some time
Wonderful store that respects and takes time with all of their customers. ?A father and son owned business that offers great diamonds at fair prices. ?We shopped all day and bought a beautiful pair of diamond studs from Gaspar’s. ?I recommend them for anyone that is searching for honest jewelers that will not intimidate those of us that are not in the diamond business.

Honest, friendly Stainless Steel Rings, and not pushy. What more can you ask for in the often difficult and annoying waters of the LA Jewelry District? I’m glad I have a place staked out so that in the future I won’t have to wander around until I feel unclean.
